30th European Congress of Arachnology at the University of Nottingham

The European Congress of Arachnology, now in its 30th year, gathers experts, students, researchers and scholars who are members of The European Society of Arachnology as well as non-members interested in the arachnology studies, and allows them share ideas, network and present their research.

The first ever congress took place in France in 1979 and since then it’s been held all across Europe and on two occasions in Russia and Israel. This year this world-renowned event is coming to Nottingham, and will take place at the University Park Campus at the University of Nottingham with a host of lectures, plenary sessions and excursions.

This year’s confirmed plenary speakers are:

  • Professor Fritz Vollrath, University of Oxford
  • Professor Yael Lubin, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev
  • Dr. Alistair McGregor, University of Oxford Brookes
  • Dr. Cristina Tuni, Ludwig-Maximilians-University, Munich
